Ok, it's time...

He's been in Japan long enough...

Day 9 and I've had enough.
In truth, things are going very well, it's just today thats been a bit crazy. Liz has decided that she doesn't need to listen...blatantly ignores me and gives me major attitude. Isn't that supposed to start when she's 13??? Of course, she's also moody as all get out and that's not supposed to start for another 11 years either.

Hunter is getting somewhat better - after his meltdown a couple of days ago. You know, I watch the nanny shows and say a prayer of thanksgiving that my kids aren't like that. Wednesday night...my kid was like that. He hit, pulled hair, scratched and kicked....ME. He was pissed and letting me know it. We had quite the time that night. I also watch those nanny shows and blame the parents....ok, so what does that say about me? OUCH - that was a punch in the face!

Tanner is Tanner - a baby that needs 24/7, but he's doing very well. Starting to sleep longer at night too, so that's a big plus!

Ok, done venting....

There's nothing like a turd...

laying on the bathroom rug to greet you!

We'll just leave it at that.

They've got me....and they know it!

Ya know, I was always going to be one of those moms that had it all together. Perfect house, perfectly behaved kids....you know...the ideal life. Then I got married and realized that life CAN be ideal, as soon as you realize that "ideal" doesn't mean "perfect". It's ideal for me b/c I love my husband and kids and they are all I need. OK, sidetracking over...see what's happened to me??? LOL

Anyway - back to having perfectly behaved kids...whatever. Don't get me wrong, my kids are wonderful. Knowing many "high maintenance" children and watching the nanny shows with the out-of-control...parents...er kids...(no, parents works there too), I know that I've really got good kids. They listen, relatively well. They are very polite and respectful. But why is it "Mom" that they test???

They've figured out that I will give in if they just keep going. Absolutely MY FAULT! WHY do I do this?? Usually b/c it's easier, or I'm busy with T, or....there's a multitude of excuses that I've tried to use to justify it to myself. AGH!!! I know that I'm doing them a disservice, I sometimes am just too tired or ??? to stop.

I've tried to do better with H's tantrums - and, in fact, they are getting fewer - and less...what's the word...aggressive (maybe). L is learning from him to just keep pushing Mom and see what happens (she knows that its usually nothing).

Well, I'm gonna put extra effort into being consistent. My kids need this. I want them to learn the easy way - not the hard way (like I apparently am :) ).

So, since I'm really working hard on this now, T will be an angel, right. ROFLMBO...I can dream!

Notice that I LOVE "....." - great way to 'run-on' a sentence!!!

Done rambling....only 11 more days until J gets an earful of this stuff! LOL

More Japan experiences

Got a call from Jeremy this afternoon. It was 5:00 a.m. his time. He couldn't sleep - and since we missed his call yesterday, he called again.

He had a good first day of training.......that just makes me laugh. He's training on the 2200-F (I believe) and he was actually one of OR even the first one(s) to install it - months ago at MSU. So, this is all review him. One more thing that makes me pretty sure that this trip is just a "thanks for all your hardwork" thing....which is great! They took the trainees out to lunch to an Italian restaurant. I'm finding out that their Italian is not like our Italian! LOL. He said that they started with this "loaf" of tofu, mushrooms and trout (which was in the center of the loaf, uncooked). He said he about got sick. Jeremy has probably never had tofu, hates mushrooms and found out he's not too fond of raw fish. LMBO! The entree' was noodles and red sauce with salmon (uncooked, of course!). He, being the respectful person that he is, at it all gone like a good boy! LOL. EWWWW....

He may be going on a tour this weekend to Mt. Fuji...I can't wait to hear about that!

He's still suffering from jetlag...poor baby!!!

Til the next phone call!

News from Japan

So, Jeremy called this morning at 3:15 a.m. I had just gotten up with Tanner (who just wouldn't settle down and go back to sleep). So, as I'm headed in the living room the phone rings. I guess Tanner just wanted to talk to Dad.

It was 4:15p.m. for Jeremy - he had just gotten back to his hotel from spending the day out and about with the guy from St. Louis. He purchased some souvenirs for me and Hunter (well, Hunter's gift is also for Jeremy), he still has to find something for Liz. He got me a scarf and a bookmark. The scarf sounds so pretty, I can't wait to see it!

He's having a good time. They went to "elecronic city" (I think is what he called it). Just blocks and blocks of electronic stores (so, Amy B...this is why you had that mental picture! LOL). He ate breakfast at a Denny's type place - just the usual eggs/bacon/toast type place - but one thing that is different - everything comes with a salad. He must not have known this b/c he told me it had Italian dressing - so not what he would have ordered. The guy that is from St. Louis told him that he's only eating at McDonalds - so Jeremy was a bit disappointed. I told him to just go eat on his own.

Well that's all for now. I'm glad that he's having a great time. And I can't wait until he calls again.

So unmotivated...

There are pros & cons to dh being gone. Pros: I don't have to cook "real" meals. And I can choose my own routine...this is also a con. Since he won't be home for a while - I don't have to worry about the house. I usually try to have it at least straightened (if I don't have it totally cleaned), but since he's gone...it's so hard for me to care!! I need motivation!!

So I sit here, checking my email, checking my blog, yada yada yada....I could be doing so much...

Way more cons than pros....I miss him so much already!

Japan

So, it's 10:30 a.m. and we've already been to the airport, gotten pancakes from McD's and I've checked in with my Yahoo group. Jeremy's off to Japan today. He left the airport this morning (Friday, 8/19) and will get to Tokoyo (ok, so I've spelled that two different ways now just this morning, I wonder which is the right way??) on Saturday afternoon - Japan time. He's going to be tired losing a day, he'll be tired!!!

I am very happy and excited for him. This is considered "training' for him, but really he could be the one doing the training! This is actually more of a - "you've done a great job, thank you for your hard work" trip. I'm very proud of him. I really hope that he enjoys himself, as this is a once in a lifetime opportunity!

On the other hand, I am slightly jealous that he gets to be bachelor in another country! When do I get my "thanks for your hard work" trip LOL. OH yeah, in 18 years, right? Ok, just having a small pitty party - excuse my vent!

Thankfully, I've got lots of friends that have offered to help with the kids and even just offered their home so we can get out of the house every now and then.

Ok, signing off.

Trying this again...

So, I started "blogging" a while back. OK, I think I posted once. But I've noticed more and more bloggers in my yahoo group and I certainly can't be left out.

Hopefully, I'll post once a day - what about? Who knows! Maybe just that I'm having a boring day and needed something to do - or maybe that one new thing that my infant learned to do.

Anyway - that's it's for now, as my infant has decided he needs me....and of course, housework is always calling my name.

Edited to add: that one thing that my infant has learned to do? Cry like I'm killin' him until I pick him up - and then - poof, he's fine! GRRR.... what have I created?
